The Welgevallen Wine Cellar lies hidden between Coetzenburg and the Paul Roos Gymnasium.

Since 2008, wine has been made here under the SU label and the cellar has delivered its first commercially available Pinotage.

SU is the only South African university that produces wine for the public.
